This is the second sock for June, the first one song for Ireland was so easy to design and the mosaic musical notes were fun. The wind that shakes The wind that shakes the barley is a sad song a man takes the woman he loves out to the fields of grain to say goodbye because he's going to war and she shot and killed. They are going to hate the beginning of the sock but you need all those stitches to make that ruffle look like waves of grain just beach blown by the wind I don't want this sock to be about the war I want this sock to be about the love . The sock needs to have movement so a sheath the barley will move across the front of the sock. There will also be a small beaded section with grain.
