Whiskey In The Jar

As I was goin' over the far famed Kerry mountains,
I met with Captain Farrell, and his money he was counting.
I first produced me pistol and I then produced me rapier,
Saying: "Stand and deliver, for you are a bold deceiver!".
Musha rin du-rum do du-rum da, Whack for my daddy-o,
Whack for my daddy-o, There's whiskey in the jar
This song has been covered by a vast variety of people from The Dubliners (traditional Irish) to
Metallica and American Hard Rock Group. It is the story of a highwayman who, after robbing a military or government official, is betrayed by a woman; whether she is his wife or sweetheart is not made clear.
So how does one make that into a sock, First of all the yarn, my friend Karin has once again outdone herself
with a yarn called Freckles in the colour Sunset Over Donegal. I could go thematic and make the sock with whiskey jars and names of Irish whiskey but I don't like that so what I will do is go very traditional with a few twists. The sock will e designed for a man.Advantage to that being more stitches for more design possibilities.
